Have you seen the cat story that won Oscar few days back? It’s called “Flow”. And yes, it came close to my hood, Latvia. So that in short means: time to celebrate! I have just the setting for it: 

oysters for appetisers

bottle of bubbly to keep busy til everything cooks

fresh salmon from Norway seared in olive oil and pure butter mix (real butter)

asparagus dropped into boiling water for 5 minutes, and then of course, buttered 😉 and covered with grano padano flakes

and….. nice hot bath with either Two and a half men or Hot in Cleveland playing. Yes, I watch stuff when I am taking bath. I’m good like that :)…. dirty and clean at the same time. I also add nice cold bubbly or rose on to the counter. That’s all my modest way of celebrating and I highly recommend! So today I shall probably put the Flow on …. or maybe I will have it on weekend when I can sleep in next day.

Spring is certainly here now but the forecast is not pleasing as they promise there will be freezing weeks yet coming up. We noh have had plus side temperatures,  a whole 3 degrees Celsius! Which means 37Fahrenheit. Pure heatwave I say, sweating like pigs! Today I saw tulips peeking out in my garden already, not long til they are out and about. Snow is still around but more green is everywhere, the grass and all sorts of fields are all geetting green. Probably something called “winter wheat”, which is sown in autumn and is first thing growing after snow disappeares. That’s my guess, ofcourse. I am not that adequate in all aspects of agriculture 🙂
