Anyways, I was home, right after full day out in freezing cold working. It’s full winter here now and one of my works is being outside in any weather, doing physically challenging things sometimes but mainly I just stand there and freeze slowly into icicle. By Celsius it’s some – 13C, by Fahrenheit is some 9F. Crispy little nook :). By the time I get home my arse is a bit thawn thanks to the carseat magic, toes, however, not so much. So I go to bathroom to warm up on the heated floor and get aclimated. Throw off all clothes, toes on hot floor, sitting in the loo and started singing with that nosy carrot voice:

I’m singing loud imitading J voice when suddenly hear giggling behind the loo door. One kid is telling other: Muti has lost her marbles, she is now singing to god to get her Merce! I listened for a moment and told them it’s not my song per se and that it’s famous song from loooong time ago written by famous singer Janice Joplin. They said they have never heard of such singer nor this hilarious song. So I told them to look it up and play it loud so we all can enjoy it. It struck me that I have failed them or they have not listened to me much when I sing, one or the other. They know all about Metallica, AC/ DC, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Bon Jovi, Rammstein, Guns’n’Roses, and even ABBA and Bee Gees 🙂 and so on, but they don’t know Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Rat Pack, Rosemary Clooney or Aretha Franklin. Nor know they Jaques Brel, Ives Montand, Serge Gainsbourg, Aznavour or Edith Piaf (apart of my one French kid who knows Piaf from this list). Which is MY mistake. Big one too! So I will start introducing the essence of modern music 🙂 by playing one by one these great artists in the evenings when we prep dinner or while we play Catan.
